Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are ecstatic with how their season is progressing, sinking many pints in celebration after their record-breaking unbeaten run was extended this weekend.
Following a 1-1 draw with West Brom yesterday, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was full of praise for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and The Evening Standard quotes his plans of building the squad around the French international.
“There are always rumours about the players but we want to keep him for the future, not only for the present. We want to build the next squad and the future with him. He is very happy with us.”
Spurs’ hopes of keeping Hugo Lloris likely remain on their success this season, as the 28-year-old stopper will probably be keen to move on next summer if the Lilywhites fail in their bid to secure Champions League football.
Currently though, the signs are all positive and our fans in the bar are optimistic that they will have a lot more to celebrate in the coming years.
