The Express warns Tottenham fans to brace themselves in the Football Transfer Tavern as their club is expected to receive a £20 million bid from Real Madrid for Hugo Lloris.
It is believed Los Blancos have turned their attention to the Frenchman as a potential replacement for Iker Casillas and they are willing to table a bid for him in January.
If Madrid came calling in the New Year, this could really put Spurs in a sticky situation because despite the player signing a new five-year deal at White Hart Lane, it is well known he wants to play at the top level.
And with Lloris desperately seeking Champions League football, a move to Los Blancos could be very realistic as it remains anything but certain whether Spurs will qualify for the competition this season.
This will be great news for Spurs back-up keeper Michel Vorm who has been playing second fiddle to Lloris since his move from Swansea City which has hindered his chances for the Netherlands on the international stage.
But although Spurs fans may feel confident of holding on to him in January, it is thought that Madrid will be prepared to wait until the summer to ensure they get their man.
