Tottenham fans inside the Football Transfer Tavern have been growing tired of all the stories linking Gareth Bale with a move away, and despite indications he is likely to stay at White Hart Lane, Jason Burt of the Daily Telegraph reckons Real Madrid are preparing a mega ‘take it or leave it’ £60 million bid.
Bale’s future has been the topic of constant speculation, after he enjoyed another stunning Premier League campaign, in which he was voted the PFA Player and Young Player of The Year. Tottenham’s failure to secure Champions League football on the final day of the season has seen the speculation mount, although Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is adamant he won’t be selling his star man this summer.
Incoming Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said to have made Bale his number one target, and whilst Real president Florentino Perez reportedly sent a letter to Levy saying Real would not be making a bid this summer, his hand may have been forced in order to please the incoming Italian.
Tottenham are not prepared to listen to offers for Bale, even if the winger does not sign a contract extension as is currently expected.
The Tottenham chairman has said he will not listen to any offer, which means even the staggering £60 million offer Real are preparing is likely to be flatly rejected.
