Tottenham cannot afford to sell this player to their Premier League rivals

The Spurs fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t happy today following rumours they could be about to sell another one of their stars.

Reports have revealed that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is looking into signing Tottenham and England left back, Danny Rose.

Conte has been trying all season long to sign Juventus full back Alex Sandro but looks to be accepting defeat and is now looking elsewhere.

Whilst this would be a good signing for the Blues, Tottenham flat out cannot afford to let Rose go.

Having already sold first teamer Kyle Walker to Manchester City last month, Mauricio Pochettino is yet to have bought in a replacement or any players at all for that matter.

Should Spurs let Rose go to Chelsea this summer then they are in danger of becoming ‘a selling club’.

Teams in the past such as Newcastle in the 90’s and Southampton nowadays have been on the verge of taking their club to the next level but wound up selling their success.

Now both clubs are in completely different positions on the ladder of English football and probably regret selling some of their star players in the past.

Pochettino’s side are so close to Premier League glory right now with one of the best starting lineups in the league but if they start selling now, it will all fall to pieces.
