Tottenham challenge Liverpool to signing of teen sensation

The Express report that Tottenham and Liverpool are among the clubs that have offered a contract to Swedish teenage sensation Valmir Berisha.

The 17-year-old Halmstads starlet has been attracting attention from abroad after some impressive displays for his club while shining at the recent under-17 World Cup where he finished as top scorer.

Berisha, who has been dubbed the new Zlatan Ibrahimovic, looks certain to leave Sweden in the near future but has confirmed there will be no shortage of clubs that want to take him on when the time comes. He has, in the past, been compared to tavern favourite Zlatan Ibrahimovic and now seems certain to depart Sweden in the near future as he confirmed a host of club’s chasing his services

He told Aftonbladet: “I have got offers from everywhere, from England, Italy, Spain, Germany, Holland and Russia. There are some options.”The clubs who have shown the biggest interest are Ajax, Milan, Liverpool, Sunderland, Tottenham and Celtic.

“They have all offered me contracts. But it is a matter of choosing the right one, that is the most important.”

However, his priority when picking his next club will involve one where he believes he can gain the most playing time as he continues his development.

He added: “I want to join a club who need a striker.

“Then I can exploit that to get playing time.

“I don’t think I will join a very big club.

“My agent has give me suggestions, but he lets me decide.”

The tavern is now divided over whether Liverpool, Tottenham or Sunderland can meet the player’s requirements or he instead opts to go elsewhere to take the next step in his career.
