The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern are concerned about the future of Kyle Walker, and it would appear as though their fears could be realised this summer…
According to the Evening Standard, Tottenham have changed their stance on the future of Kyle Walker – with the club reportedly ready to listen to offers for the talented defender. He won’t come cheaply, though, with a £35 million price tag reportedly slapped on his head.
This report, of course, comes off of the back of the defender losing favour under Mauricio Pochettino – with Kieran Trippier chosen ahead of him in recent weeks for the Lilywhites.
It is certainly a significant change of stance for Tottenham, considering that Walker has been a vital part of proceedings at White Hart Lane for much of the season. Indeed, alongside Danny Rose, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld, Walker has played a key role as Tottenham’s defence has grown into one of the Premier League’s most efficient.
Our landlord thinks that if Tottenham can negotiate a fee of £35 million, a sale would certainly make sense.
