According to the Daily Star, Mauricio Pochettino is lining up a £4 million bid for Anderlecht’s highly-rated winger Andy Najar.
The former DC United man will not be easy to lure from Belgium as he is currently under contract until 2018 and has received mass plaudits for his bright performances this season.
Spurs have been monitoring the 21-year-old and scouts were impressed after watching him play against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
The frustrating situation is that Pochettino is chasing the winger who they previously had on trial when he was a teenager.
To add to his accolades at Anderlecht, he has also picked up MLS rookie of the year with DC United.
He featured in the World Cup in Brazil and has had 20 caps overall for his country.
There is also interest from around Europe but Spurs are favorites to sign him with punters in the tavern stubbornly believing they need an extra spark to reignite their fight for a Champions League place.
