The Football Transfer Tavern is packed tonight ahead of the Premier League action.
However attention has been distracted away from the live matches by reports emerging about a possible striker solution for Tottenham in the upcoming transfer window.
Tottenham are planning to solve their goal scoring woes by making a £30 million bid for Fiorentina and Italy striker Giuseppe Rossi, according to The Express.
Spurs may have spent over £100 m in the summer but reports indicate that Daniel Levy is planning on having another productive January as the pressure mounts on Andre Villas-Boas following a disappointing start to the season.
Goals have been in short supply for the Lilywhites despite adding Spanish international Roberto Soldado to their ranks.
The former Valencia striker, who scored 24 La Liga goals last term, has only found the net four times for Spurs while Jermain Defoe is expected to move to the MLS, leaving Villas-Boas short in attack.
Rossi, who spent three seasons at Manchester United as a development player, could now make a return to England with the ex-Villarreal striker now fully fit and regularly scoring goals for the Viola in Serie A.
The 26-year-old American-born Italian international has a contract at the Stadio Artemi Franchi until 2017 but that contains a buy-out clause for any bids over £30 million which could see him making the switch to North London next month.
