The Metro seem to be keeping us up to date with the goings on in the Gareth Bale transfer saga and today is no different. The publication report that Daniel Levy has cut his holiday short to begin talks over the forward’s future.
Bale of course is Los Blancos’ number one target this summer and Florentino Perez seems to be hell bent on doing anything he can to land the his man. Now it seems that Spurs have finally relented and despite rejecting Bale’s wish to talk to the Spanish Giants earlier in the week, a deal may now be reachable after Levy resigned himself to talks with Bale.
One thing that we do know about Levy as one of our punters quips is the fact that he will make sure every possible penny that can be gotten for the Welshman will – as Real Madrid found out with the signing of Luca Modric who Levy certainly managed to get a pretty price for.
Now it seems that Carlo Ancelotti will get his big summer signing, but will have to pay through the nose for him – Levy has already rejected a bid close to £86 million and is still keen to keep the forward and is thought to be prepared to hold out for around £100 million in a cash plus player deal. Said players could well take the shape of Fabio Coentrao who certainly seems to be on his way out of the club or even winger Angel Di Maria.
