It would not be wrong to assume that Tottenham Hotspur will be active within the January transfer market.
Although Spurs are flying high near the summit of the Premier League table, they did not add any new additions to their squad in the summer and could look to bring some fresh faces into the club this winter.
However, it appears that Mauricio Pochettino’s side could be active in letting a number of players leave in January as well, with one man thought to be on that list.
The Kenya international, who arrived at Tottenham in the summer of 2016 for a fee of £12.96million (per Transfermarkt), has struggled with injuries this season which has seen him miss plenty of the campaign.
It is understood that the 27-year-old would have potential suitors for his services if he were to be made available, which is something Spurs could be ready to cash-in on.
Wanyama has been a key performer for Tottenham and Pochettino since arriving, however, this season has been largely frustrating for the African midfielder.
A number of niggling injuries has reduced his game-time significantly, whilst the club has a number of other options that appear to have thrived in his absence.
With a player of his quality and the possibility of him being available, Tottenham should not find it too difficult to offload him in January should they want to.
