Before their game with Sunderland kicked off, there was a little time for transfer gossip and according to talkSPORT, Tottenham target Salvatore Sirigu has signed a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain.
The 27-year-old Italian international stopper was linked with a move to White Hart Lane as a replacement for Hugo Lloris this summer.
It was believed that Lloris was a target for PSG themselves, however the French number one was persuaded by Mauricio Pochettino to stay at White Hart Lane for another season.
And it now seems that the Ligue 1 champions have put their faith in Sirigu after he signed a contract until 2018.
The former Palermo keeper said: “I wanted to continue this great adventure with PSG. It is beautiful from a sporting and human point of view.
“We are only at the beginning of something special and we can still win so much together.”
