Fans of Tottenham in the Transfer Tavern were dealt a blow today as news broke out that Harry Winks and Danny Rose are set to miss Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Manchester United.
The two sides are set to go head to head at Wembley this Saturday evening 5:15pm, with both sides knowing that the FA Cup is their last chance to win silverware in what has been an otherwise disappointing season. Both sides have beaten each other at home in the league this season, with Tottenham surely having the upper hand having played their home matches at the venue this season.
However, sports reporter Ben Dinnery tweeted earlier on today, that Spurts had been dealt a blow with Harry Winks and Danny Rose both set to miss out on the match. Winks is still recovering in rehab on his ankle having not been in the squad since the 2-2 draw with Liverpool in February.

Rose who has struggled with injuries all season will miss the match at Wembley with a calf injury, as he faces a race to regain full fitness in time for the World Cup in Russia and add to his 14 appearances so far this campaign. Mauricio Pochettino will be able to welcome back Toby Alderweireld into the squad following his sides draw against Brighton and he will compete for a place with Davinson Sanchez at the heart of the Spurs defence.
Jose Mourinho however, has no fresh injury concerns as his team came through unscathed in a 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Wednesday night thanks to goals from Chris Smalling and substitute Romelu Lukaku. Mourinho made seven changes and is expected to re-install the likes of Lukaku, Nemanja Matic, Ashley Young and Alexis Sanchez as he chases his fourth trophy as United boss.
