Tottenham Hotspur are getting things done early ahead of what’s set to be an incredibly busy summer transfer window, with Mauricio Pochettino pushing through three crucial deals.
The Evening Standard states Jan Vertonghen, Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen are all set to put pen-to-paper on extended deals in the coming weeks, giving them a large boost on their current weekly earnings.
Vertonghen, on £40k-a-week, and Eriksen, on £30k-a-week, will get a significant pay-rise from the new deals, whilst Lamela is already one of Tottenham’s highest-earners but will be rewarded for what has been an impressive season.
Tottenham have been flying-high this season and are still in with a chance of winning their first league title in over 50 years, whilst they’re set to reach their objective of securing Champions League football for next season.
The trio have been crucial to Spurs’ performances this season and it allows Tottenham to ensure rival clubs cannot come in and easily lure these prized-assets away.
