Tottenham eye January move for giant striker

pochettino9Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing January rumours and pretending they know a lot about the latest striker to be linked with a switch- when it’s clear they don’t have a clue!

RTL Sport run with the story, as former Gent goalkeeper Frederic Herpoel states Tottenham are eying a move for Laurent Depoitre in the new year.

The 27-year-old has an impressive record in Belgium, sinking 80 goals since 2007 which has seen his stock rise across Europe. This, according to Herpoel, means he’s likely to make a Premier League switch imminently.

‘Depoitre, I think he will soon leave Gent. I do not know if it will be for January, but in any case I think he will go to Tottenham in England.’

‘He will remain at Gent for the remaining months but then he will make his choice. He has no offer, but I know that Tottenham are closely following him.’

At 6 ft 3, Depoitre is a giant that could become a great strike partner to Harry Kane. That’s according to our drunk friend in the corner, who can’t even place Belgium on a map.

Tottenham fans, will this striker be a good January addition? Let us know below in the comments!
