Tottenham eyeing addition of £18m striker to bolster forward line

Lorenzo InsigneTottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have ordered a bottle of bubbly to celebrate, as they feel the club has finally identified the perfect strike partner for star-man Harry Kane.

The Daily Mirror states Tottenham Hotspur are looking at Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne, who they believe can strengthen their forward ranks ahead of Champions League football next season.

24-year-old Insigne, who can play centrally or out-wide, has been identified by Mauricio Pochettino as the prime-target this summer- but Spurs would have to fork out at least £18m to bring the Italian to the Premier League.

Insigne has netted 12-goals this season and Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is happy to fund the arrivals of two big-name players this summer, with finances stricter than usual as work begins on a new stadium to move Spurs out of White Hart Lane.

With Fulham’s Moussa Dembele also remaining a target, likely to be signed as back-up to Kane himself, our landlord believes Spurs will have a forward line that can strike fear into defenders throughout Europe next term.

Spurs fans, would Insigne be the ideal partner for Harry Kane? Let us know in the comments below!
