The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern have been impressed with their side’s transfer business over the last few years…
With a focus on young players with a lot of potential, the Lilywhites have been able to save big money and land some of Europe’s brightest talents – with players including Dele Alli and Eric Dier particularly impressing at White Hart Lane.
Now it seems as though Mauricio Pochettino is keen to work his magic once again, with the Evening Standard reporting that Tottenham are keen on a move for Juan Foyth. However, significantly, the publication now also report that PSG are interested in a move, meaning that Tottenham will face a tough test to land the talented defender.
At 19-years-old, Foyth is clearly a player for the future, but with excellent tackling and defending, he is certainly a figure with a lot of talent.
Tottenham have had a quiet summer so far, bar the significant outgoing transfer of Kyle Walker, and so the fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that a move for Foyth does happen. They recognise that Tottenham can’t afford to spend big, given that their new stadium is currently being built, but a budget move for a talented youngster could be just what their side needs.
Our landlord is backing Tottenham to have a successful few weeks in the lead-up to the Premier League season, with a move for Ross Barkley also being touted.
