Tottenham fans are all loving the way their club is being run at the moment, minus the fact that they haven’t signed a player in over a year, the way Mauricio Pochettino bloods the youth is a joy to see. Tottenham journalist Alasdair Gold recently had a look at the up and coming young players at the club, and the fans are way too excited about Jack Roles.
Other than Troy Parrott, who do you reckon will be the next of these Spurs academy stars to break through? https://t.co/lSE8BFYPAX

The 19-year-old is a superb young player and his goalscoring exploits from midfield this season in Tottenham’s U23 side have made him a name that the Lilywhites know quite well, despite the majority of them have never seen him play. However, if he can crack the senior side there will be plenty of expectation, even if he is only young, as he leaves his teenage years behind him later thus month.
There are plenty of young midfielders coming through at Tottenham, and given the number of bodies that Pochettino has in the senior side, it will take something of an injury crisis to ensure any of them get the chances they need this season. However, injuries have come thick and fast for Tottenham, and the fans have identified Roles as an ideal replacement for the impressive Dele Alli, so to count him out of making a senior debut this season could prove foolish.
You can read the Lilywhites’ verdict on which young player they think will make it here:
Hoping Jack Roles

Amos, Roles, Onomah, Oakley-Booth, Sterling, Oluwayemi, Tanganga.
And I love to see Pochettino! 🙂

Dilan Markanday, Paris Maghoma, Jack Roles, Rodel Richards are 4 that stand out for me..

seems like Roles' natural position off the striker would make him a natural backup for Dele.
Any idea why he has not been considered while Dele is out?

Skip didn’t look ready imo. I’d like to see Roles given a chance.

The Lilyhwites are desperate to see Roles burst through onto the senior scene, although it remains to be seen whether he’ll be ready for the step up anytime soon.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
