Whilst a number of Tottenham stars have stuttered in their start to the new Premier League season, one man has really stepped up. Erik Lamela has had his issues at Tottenham, missing 13 months of action to undergo double hip surgery, but now he’s back and better than ever with four goals and three assists in his seven appearances this season.

The ex-Roma man has himself claimed that he’s happy at the moment, and why wouldn’t he be, the Argentine is loved by Tottenham fans everywhere for his superb work rate and passion for the club both on and off the pitch. His goals and assists will go a long way with Tottenham fans and whilst he’s been used as an impact sub off the bench so far, a lot of supporters are desperate to see Mauricio Pochettino start the versatile attacker.
In his time at the club, Lamela has been deployed on the left, the right and down the middle and his versatility and ability to beat a man in a one-on-one situation makes him a dangerous player to have at your disposal. He’s shown enough times what he can do this season already, scoring goals off the bench against Brighton and Liverpool and registering an assist off the bench against Fulham, next for the 26-year-old will be getting into the eleven and staying there.
