The World Cup has been a very successful tournament for all those associated with Tottenham Hotspur. Twelve players from the club competed in the tournament and between them, they scored twelve goals in Russia. However, the tournament is over now and the fans have been delighted to welcome Heung-Min Son back to Hotspur Way.

Bar Spurs lack of signings, the summer has been a very good one for the club. The club captain, Hugo Lloris captained rance to World Cup glory whilst the club had eight other players in the semi-finals. Kieran Tripper made the created the most chances of any player in Russia and then ex-Spurs players Luka Modric and Nacer Chadli won the Golden Ball and Goal of the Tournament respectfully.
However, it’s time to forget all that and focus on the upcoming season and the Lilywhite’s have the ever-smiling Son back in training and ready to hit pre-season hard. Unfortunately, the Korean will be leaving the squad to compete in the Asian Games at the same time as the Premier League starts, so the Spurs fans will have to keep an eye on how gets on for his nation as they start their campaign in less than a month’s time.

Whilst it’s not quite as good as a signing, it’s always positive to see Son’s smiling face at Spurs.
