Tottenham face Watford in the Carabao Cup tonight and the fans will be eagerly waiting to see what lineup Mauricio Pochettino will be putting out to see whether or not he’s taking the competition seriously. One piece of team news, though, is that Paulo Gazzaniga will probably be starting seeing as Michel Vorm and Hugo Lloris are still out injured.

Gazzaniga started the Lilywhites recent Premier League match away at Brighton and his performance was key as he helped the club to return to winning ways after losing their previous three matches against Watford, Liverpool and Inter Milan. Coincidentally, as soon as Gazzaniga came in for Vorm the club got three points and the fans are adamant that they’re happy with Gazzaniga for now.
It goes without saying that the fans will be desperate to get Hugo Lloris back between the sticks when he’s available but for now he’s not and in his absence, they’re happy as long as it’s not Vorm starting. The Dutchman fails to inspire confidence in those around him and the sooner he’s back on the bench behind Lloris the better. Both Watford and Tottenham are likely to ring the changes tonight but it will be Gazzaniga who should keep his place from Saturday.
