Tottenham fans fully focused on massive Barcelona clash after Saturday’s win - Premier League

Tottenham have been again drawn into the Champions League ‘group of death’ this season. After successfully navigating their way past Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and APOEL last season without a defeat in the groups, they now have Inter Milan, Barcelona and PSV to worry about and after losing to Inter in their opener, this week’s Barcelona match is huge.

The Lilywhites overcame Huddersfield yesterday in preparation for the game but lost Jan Vertonghen to injury in the first half. The club are going through something of an injury crisis. Hugo Lloris, Christian Eriksen, Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko are all doubts for the game and when the Catalonian giants travel to Wembley in three days time Mauricio Pochettino will be keen to ensure he has as many of his players fit and ready as possible.

On a more positive note, in the opening game week of the Champions League, Samuel Umtiti was sent off for Barcelona against PSV and will miss the clash at Wembley as a result of that red card. Last season Poch’s side overcame both Dortmund and Real Madrid 3-1 at Wembley and will be desperate to repeat that feat against Barcelona on Wednesday when Lionel Messi and co come to town.

The fans are ready for the Barcelona clash and would do anything to beat Ernesto Valverde’s side on Wednesday evening.
