Danny Rose has been a man who a lot of supporters believed had no future at the club over the summer. The English left-back has been crocked with injuries and left out of the side for off-field issues in recent years, but Wednesday’s 2-0 win at The Emirates was Rose’s third straight start, and he’s starting to look like he’s back to his best.
So pleasing to see the re-emergence of Spurs’ Danny Rose, in what was his third game in row at left-back.

If you’d have told a Tottenham over the summer that Danny Rose would be playing to the levels he’s managed against Barcelona and Arsenal in recent weeks then they’d have laughed at you. The Lilywhites had zero faith in Rose getting back on the horse and shining for the club, yet here he is doing his utmost to return to his form from the 2015/16 season where he was one of the best left-backs in the world.
Against Arsenal in the week, Mauricio Pochettino had little choice in defence as his only fit central defender was Toby Alderweireld. That meant he had to do the same as he did against Burnley, and put Ben Davies into centre-back leaving Rose to do what he does best, bombing up and down the left flank. Pochettino’s side played to perfection and with Rose captaining the side, the win was made even sweeter on what was a great day for the travelling Tottenham fans.

Apart from Dele, he was my MOTM, a fantastic display & long may it continue

Rose at left back and have to say Davies has slotted in nicely covering at CB as well

Magnificent tonight his attitude alone was enough he had all we want to see from any of our players

Superb and Poch obviously still trusts him by making him captain

MOTM for me. I know Alli and Son will get most of the media attention, but goodness did Rose put in a shift tonight. Several defensive blocks in the box, never lost his marker … did have that one terrible back pass, but that was the only negative.

Great performance from Danny tonight, blowing a bit at the end, but put in a real shift and lead the team really well I thought.

Go on Diamond Danny!

Vintage Danny Rose! Did someone turn the clocks back to 2016?

The Lilywhites loved seeing Danny Rose at his very best last night and will hope the 28-year-old can keep his levels up right through to the end of the season.
