Tottenham fans on Twitter absolutely devastated on hearing of Harry Winks blow

Harry Winks, on his day, can be the difference between three points and none. The 23-year-old midfield maestro keeps the Lilywhites ticking and does everything in the middle of the park. However, yesterday, the young Englishman missed the visit of Huddersfield yesterday, and the fears are that he’ll miss Manchester City on Wednesday.

Winks is an incredible talent, but unfortunately, he’s no stranger to the treatment room at Spurs. With that being said, there aren’t many players who have been able to avoid injury at Tottenham this season. The fans cannot get over how many injuries they’ve had, and Winks’ setback is just his latest after suffering a number of ankle injuries over the last few years.
Central midfield has long been a problem for Tottenham fans this season. Mousa Dembele was sold in January and with consistent injuries to Victor Wanyama the Lilywhites were left relying on a double pivot of Moussa Sissoko and Winks for a while. The pair stood up to the challenge well too, and Winks’ creative ability from deep makes him an incredible addition to their side, and if he is to miss Manchester City on Wednesday the Lilywhites will be gutted.

The Lilywhites will be desperate for Winks to return in time for Manchester City on Wednesday and if he isn’t available the fans will be a lot less confident.
