Tottenham fans on Twitter absolutely loved Sissoko’s sublime assist

Yesterday saw Tottenham continue their winning ways as they continued to march on in pursuit of both Manchester City and Liverpool. It was a game that again saw Moussa Sissoko star as he has done so often this season, and he even grabbed an assist for Heung-Min Son’s game-sealing goal, albeit accidentally.

The way the game panned out, the Lilywhites found themselves under serious pressure in the second half. Mauricio Pochettino’s side took a 2-0 lead in the 63rd minute to give themselves breathing space, however, when Jamie Vardy halved the deficit 13 minutes later it set up a nervy finish. The Foxes piled on the pressure late on but were undone when Sissoko’s clearance found Son, who did what he does best.

The way Sissoko swept the ball through to Son was what got a lot of Tottenham fans talking though. A poor ball into the box from out wide from Leicester found Sissoko on the edge of the Tottenham penalty area. The Frenchman swung a boot at it, playing it through Wilfred Ndidi and into the path of Son and if he had actually meant it then it would go down as one of the passes of the season.
