Tottenham Hotspur discovered their fate in the FA Cup yesterday evening when the 4th round fixtures were drawn following Wolves clash with Liverpool at Molineux. Whilst the draw returned the Lilywhites an away trip to Crystal Palace, it could have been a lot worse and the fans were all massively relieved to see an away trip to Selhurst Park.

Whilst Palace away isn’t the easy game that the club could have been given, it’s still very winnable. However, whilst the draw was being conducted and Tottenham fans waited for their ball to be pulled out, the teams kept getting whittled down. Eventually, the last four balls in the hat were Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham and Crystal Palace, so for Spurs to get Palace was a huge relief.
The first of those last four teams to get drawn was Arsenal, and at that point the Lilywhites all believed they’d be going through a repeat of their Carabao Cup quarter-final where they had to travel to The Emirates. Instead, though, it will be one of either Manchester United or Arsenal bowing out of the cup, and Spurs fans will back themselves to overcome Palace and be in the hat for the 5th round draw.

The Lilywhites were delighted to be drawn away at Palace and will be grateful to have missed out on facing one of their top six rivals in such an early stage of the cup.
