Tottenham fans on Twitter all love this Eric Dier winner against West Ham

Mauricio Pochettino and Eric Dier have been at Tottenham for four full seasons now, with this year being their fifth in North London. Today, the club tweeted a video of both of their first games at the club, when the England midfielder, who started at right-back that day, scored a late winner at Upton Park against West Ham United.

That day back in August 2014 was a superb one for Tottenham fans, and one that a lot of them remember very well. Kyle Naughton had been sent off for handling the ball and denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity but Mark Noble dragged the penalty wide on the half-hour mark. Then, after another half-an-hour, it was James Collins who was sent marching when he received his second yellow card of the day.

Step up Eric Dier. In the dying minutes with the game petering out into a 0-0 draw, Harry Kane played his debuting teammate through on goal. Dier made it look easy, rounding Adrian and scoring in the 93rd minute. That game, Pochettino’s first at the club, marked the start of a wonderful few years for Tottenham fans and now, with the club in their 5th season under the Argentine, it looks like high time they won some silverware.
