Tottenham travel to Old Trafford later to take on Manchester United in what will be their first big game of the season. The Lillywhites have won their two openers against Newcastle United and Fulham and they’ll be keen to make it three from three when they face Manchester United tonight.

The last two visits that Tottenham have made to Old Trafford have ended in 1-0 defeats, with the game last season proving to be particularly frustrating as they had the majority of the ball and looked more likely to score before a long ball from David De Gea found Anthony Martial to give the Red Devils the lead. This season should be different, though, as Tottenham look like a different animal.

Mauricio Pochettino will know that he needs to get his side playing well when it matters and aside from the fact he’s yet to win a trophy, he still needs to get over his hoodoo of being unable to beat any of the top six away from home. Those are the big games that can decide Premier League titles and if they can get off to a good run then there’s no reason why they can’t challenge Manchester City and Liverpool this season.
