Tottenham fans on Twitter appreciating Dele Alli

Dele Alli has started this season in the same way that he did the last one. By the standards of a regular 22-year-old, 17 goals and 14 assists in 50 games for one of Europe’s top clubs would be a stellar achievement. However, it was a dip in what Alli had done during the 2016/17 campaign and he’ll be keen to get back to those heights.

Much like the previous campaign, Dele started this season with a goal on the opening weekend away at Newcastle and he’ll be desperate to add to that strike in one of the club’s upcoming games against Liverpool, Inter Milan or Brighton when he returns to the club after international duty with England. The fans love it when Dele is on his game and there are plenty of examples out there of what he can do.

The young midfielder has already got some serious accolades to his name. He scored the goal of the season in the 2015/16 season with his superb flick and volley into the bottom corner from the edge of the box against Crystal Palace and he’s also scored in some huge games. Twice he’s stepped up with a brace to beat Chelsea and he’s also done that against Real Madrid in the Champions League. There’s no telling how good Dele can be and the fans are keen to follow his progression.
