Tottenham fans were all over the moon this time last week when it became apparent that after failing to ship him out on-loan on Transfer Deadline Day, Mauricio Pochettino would be considering Vincent Janssen for first-team selection. It felt like there was a hint of reluctance from Poch, and a supposed injury to Janssen has come as no shock.
@Ben_Davies33 (groin) is continuing rehabilitation.

When Tottenham’s official Twitter account tweeted out the news surrounding the current injury concerns, the usual suspects were on there. Harry Kane and Dele Alli, as the fans know, are still sidelined. Ben Davies is also out but has been joined by Eric Dier who has picked up yet another virus. However, the other new name is Vincent Janssen, who the fans hoped to see tomorrow.
Pochettino was very clear that he would not be forced into using Janssen this season and that the Dutchman was not in his plans, regardless of whether he was allowed to leave or not. However, after potential loan moves to Real Betis, Schalke and Cardiff all failed to come through, it looks like Pochettino has been forced into a spectacular U-turn, although that won’t stop the suspicious ‘injuries’ from cropping up.

The Tottenham fans aren’t convinced that Janssen’s injury is genuine, and it’s hard to blame them given the way his last few weeks have gone.Like what the TT have on offer? Sign up for more notifications!
