Tottenham fans on Twitter can’t get over how good Danny Rose was yesterday

Danny Rose has cut a strange figure at Tottenham. The left0back was one of the best in the world in his position in the 2015/16 season before off-field issues and a debilitating knee injury saw him out of action for almost a year. However, he’s starting to return to his very best form, and yesterday he was stupidly good against Chelsea at Wembley.
FULL-TIME: Backs to the wall for large periods of the second half, but we hold firm and @HKane's penalty means we'll take a 1-0 lead into the second leg at Stamford Bridge. #COYS pic.twitter.com/oU1AORissD

Tottenham managed to edge out Chelsea in a tense affair at the national stadium, winning 1-0 in the Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg. VAR will be making the headlines, but Rose was the man who helped to carry his side through. His work up and down the left-flank simply cannot go ignored, as he did a great job in keeping Chelsea out and will enjoy going to Stamford Bridge with a 1-0 foot-up.
The job is certainly not done, though. Rose has been excellent in the first half of the tie, yet he still has a lot to do away from home in 15 days time. Stamford Bridge will be a tough place to go, although the Lilywhites can take respite from the fact that Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi will likely have been sold by then, and it was the talented youngster who took the game to them in the second-half. Whoever the Blues field, though, Rose and co will have to be at their brilliant best to get through unscathed.
