Tottenham fans on Twitter desperate to see Sissoko showboat tonight

On the weekend, Tottenham fans hardly had the best prep for their trip to Manchester City when they faced Huddersfield at home. As games come, playing at home to the Premier League’s 20th placed side is hugely different to playing away at the league leaders, yet the fans won’t care as long as Moussa Sissoko is at his very best.

When the Terriers came to North London the Lilywhites had a field day. Lucas Moura scored the first hat-trick that the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has ever seen and Victor Wanyama grabbed the other in a 4-0 win, yet once again all eyes were on Sissoko. The Frenchman has been different class this season, and in the first half, he produced a moment of magic when he showed his skill in midfield.
After taking the ball into his feet just inside his own half, Sissoko chopped the ball out to the left to evade a challenge before pirouetting with the ball to glide past yet another challenge. It was a moment that the Lilywhites watching on absolutely loved and now they want him to do similar tonight and have the Man City midfield on strings as he did the Huddersfield midfield, even if it will be a whole new challenge.

It’s incredible how good he’s been this season. Player of the season. £30m now seems justified or almost like a bargain. Keep the form up. #coys

The Lilywhites want nothing more than to see Sissoko have the City midfield on strings like he did against Huddersfield, and given the way the Frenchman has stepped up this season, it’s not out of the question.
