Tottenham Hotspur have had a quiet transfer window and will now be set on getting some much needed Premier League points as they aim to show the world that they don’t need to spend big to win things. However, now the window has closed for English clubs, they could be set to lose out on Toby Alderweireld to Bayern Munich, according to The Mirror.

Having signed for the club from Atletico Madrid in 2015 are a very impressive loan spell with Southampton, Alderweireld only improved his already impressive reputation when he joined Mauricio Pochettino’s side. Although after two incredibly impressive years with the club, the defender fell out of favour after suffering a hamstring injury and unsuccessful contract negotiations.
Almost a year on from that hamstring injury and whilst everyone thought the defender would be out of the club by now, it hasn’t happened and the fans will have to hold on just a little bit longer to see whether he will be sold abroad to a Bayern Munich or whether he’ll end up staying on board with the club and finding his way back into the eleven. There’s no doubt that the 29-year-old would improve the club’s defence and if he can work his way back into Poch’s plans then the club will be in a much better position to challenge for silverware.

Too late. We can’t replace him. Should have tried a Month ago

If he’s gonna go, might as well be to a non-prem club

The supporters are getting to the point where they’re keen to keep Alderweireld and they’ll be hoping that the Belgian rejects a Bayern move and signs a new Spurs deal, even if that is unlikely.
