A lot of Spurs fans have been taking to Twitter after hearing the news on Sport that claims Adrien Rabiot will not be signing for Tottenham this summer and that he will be moving to Barcelona for a fee of around £35 million.

Tottenham have been linked to a whole host of midfield options and whilst it looks like they will be signing Jack Grealish from Aston Villa, the fans were hoping for a box-to-box midfielder who can fill the shoes of Mousa Dembele who is looking set to leave the club this summer with both Inter Milan and a number of Chinese clubs tabling bids for the 30-year-old Belgian midfielder.
Unfortunately, one of the fans first choice options was Rabiot and whilst they can still pursue other options such as Tanguy Ndombele, it’s still a setback for the fans to have missed out on the exciting Rabiot. This transfer window promised to be such a good one for Tottenham after Mauricio Pochettino claimed that the club needs to take risks and be brave in their signings as they pursue silverware next season, for now though, the fans are yet to see that bravery.

This window hasn’t gone quite how the fans thought it would and Spurs will have to turn it around quickly to keep the fans happy.
