Tottenham fans on Twitter hate the idea of Dimitar Berbatov featuring on Saturday

Tottenham fans will all be eagerly awaiting kick off on Saturday at their new stadium in what promises to be an entertaining clash between Tottenham Legends and Inter Forever. Now, though, that both teams have been confirmed, Alasdair Gold asked the fans which players they aren’t happy to see and Dimitar Berbatov’s name keeps coming up.
What makes a Spurs Legend? Which of these players confirmed so far for Saturday's game do you consider a club legend? Which are just players you're looking forward to seeing again, which are cult heroes and which ones had you thinking what the hell? https://t.co/aKrppOBSqg

Admittedly, it’s always going to be tough to assemble a squad of genuine legends as players retire, get old and move on to pastures new. With that in mind the Lilywhites have done their best to bring together a number of former faces, and whilst the likes of Jurgen Klinsmann and Paul Gascoigne will be met with delight, Dimitar Berbatov certainly won’t given the way he departed the club for Manchester United.
Some fans may tell you that Berba’s move out of White Hart Lane was 11 years ago and that it shouldn’t matter. However, the issue that the fans have is that the Bulgarian cannot be classed as a legend given that he spent just two years in North London before leaving for a rival, and they’ve all been flocking to Twitter to make their opinions on the 38-year-old heard.
You can read those opinions here:
Berbatov was a great player for us. Unreal on his day but can not be classified as a legend with how things ended. Same as modric.

Berbatov a snake! How can he play after what he did to leave?? Can’t believe Levy let him back in…

I think Berbatov’s behaviour to get away from Spurs makes him anything but a legend.

The Lilywhites aren’t at all happy that Berbatov will be featuring for them and would much rather see the Bulgarian pull out between now and Saturday.
