Tottenham fans were far from happy with the performance of Christian Eriksen last night. The Danish midfielder failed to make an impact against his former side Ajax, but he isn’t the first one to do that this season. The entire Real Madrid side flopped against them, and now AS are reporting Eriksen’s edging closer to joining Los Blancos in summer.

The Lilywhites absolutely love it when they’ve got Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen all flying in good form, but it’s been a while since then. The most recent game in memory where it went that way was away at Everton where they won 6-2 back in December. However, now, we may have seen the last of the quadruplet, as Eriksen has a verbal agreement to join Real Madrid – at least according to the report from AS. Unsurprisingly, this hasn’t gone down well with fans.
Having signed for Tottenham way back in summer 2013 for a measly £11.5 million it looks like the Lilywhites are set to make a pretty penny if they sell the attacking midfielder to Madrid, but it will be hard to replace his creative talents when he’s at the top of his game. If the Dane can help turn the Champions League semi-final tie against Ajax around and inspire them to final success and win the competition then the mood will change, but for now, the fans are happy to let Eriksen leave.

Move him on. Get good money and make sure we sign a replacement

He's amazing on his day but recently his head has been somewhere else

Eriksen has been mediocre the past few months ever since the Madrid rumors started and against Ajax he was just terrible. Couldn’t create any chances or link up play. Don’t mind us selling him and bringing in van de Beek

Yep. Time to sell. Has gone stale at spurs. Great player for us but better for both if we move on.

He has been great but gone missing in big games this season, last night classic example , the money they are talking too good to turn down

Cheers and gone. Time to move on now

Sell him, splash the cash on De Ligt

The Lilywhites seem keen to let Eriksen go, especially seeing as they’d make a hefty profit and the Dane has hardly been playing well anyway.
