On paper, it looks like Juan Foyth had an absolute mare on his Premier League debut. The young Argentine defender, after showing what he was all about on Wednesday evening against West Ham, gave away two penalties as Tottenham won 3-2 on the road, although the fans weren’t jumping to slate him as you’d think they would.
Who was your @eToro Man of the Match tonight?

Instead, it was much the opposite for Foyth as when the Lilywhites took to Twitter to give their options for man of the match, the fans were questioning why the Argentine wasn’t one of the four options and were calling for him to be named as the man of the match. Instead, though, it was Erik Lamela who won man of the match, even if there were a few players who could have taken the award.
Hugo Lloris and Lucas Moura both looked back to their brilliant best against Wolves and could have taken the award home, but the only man that the Tottenham fans wanted to see was Juan Foyth. The first penalty he gave away can be put down to Kieran Trippier and whilst the second was clumsy, he looked superb playing out from the back and partnering Toby Alderweireld, who was also off his game somewhat.
