For any player to play for both Tottenham and Arsenal there’s always going to be at least one set of fans that hate them, however, for a player to cross the divide directly between the two leaves an impression. Spurs fans still sing about Sol Campbell to this day, and Danny Welbeck could get the same from The Gunners if these reports in The Sun about a Tottenham switch are true.
[@SunSport] understand Tottenham Hotspur are now ready to make a £10million January offer for England and Arsenal star Danny Welbeck.

Welbeck is one of those strikers who’s never been good enough to play for a top, top side but has always found himself at one. The striker came through the Manchester United academy and established himself as an important squad player at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson until he was eventually sold to Arsenal back on deadline day in 2014, although he’s failed to become a regular at The Emirates.
Now, it looks like he’ll be on his way out of the club. The 27-year-old has featured under Unai Emery this season but not quite as much as he’d like as he’s been competing with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for game time. However, at Tottenham Mauricio Pochettino has been struggling to find a man who can deputise for Harry Kane and given that Welbeck knows a lot of the Spurs squad through the national team, it would make sense for him to join the club. The Lilywhites, though, are firmly against signing the Arsenal man.

I sincerely hope this is a wind up!

Why on earth would anyone pay actual money, legal tender, for Welbeck?
Out of contract at the end of the season, will probably end up at West ham or palace

As you can see, the feeling amongst the Tottenham fans is pretty clear as they’re desperate to avoid signing the Arsenal man.
