Tottenham Hotspur are a club that have become famous for having a superb academy system. The current England captain, Harry Kane is a graduate of the club’s academy and whilst it might be hard to envision Samuel Shashoua going on to do similar, his loan move to Atletico Baleares will do him good.

The youngster has bags of talent and if he can channel his ability and mature as a player during his time in Spain then there’s no reason why he can’t try and crack Mauricio Pochettino’s first team and earn a place in the squad. Having a fearless young winger will always help your squad and if the 19-year-old can add some end product to his already impressive game then you wouldn’t bet against his making it at the club.

For now, the Spurs fans will have to follow their youngsters progress away from the UK, though, as he’s opted for a loan move away from the EFL. Most Premier League clubs see their players off down the leagues but this move to the Spanish third division could be a refreshing one for both the player and the system at Spurs. Letting the youngsters experience a new style of football and culture could do them a world of good and it will be interesting to see how Shashoua copes.
