Tottenham fans on Twitter keen to sell Llorente with Chinese club’s looming

Tottenham fans on Twitter have all been saying the same thing as reports from Marca have claimed that Fernando Llorente could be on his way to the Chinese Super League. The big Spanish striker has proved time and time again that he’s not Spurs quality and it would be no surprise to see him sold this summer.

Tottenham fans everywhere were delighted last summer went Llorente signed for the club as they believed they finally had a decent plan B option off the bench and a striker that could deputise for Harry Kane when their number ten was injured or suspended. However, Llorente failed to get anywhere near the form that saw him net 15 Premier League goals for Swansea in the 2016/17 season and now the fans want to see him gone ASAP.

If the rumours surrounding the Chinese Super league are true then Spurs are in luck. The crazy fees paid for players by clubs in the Far East are ridiculous and if Tottenham can get anything over £20 million for their beanpole striker then they can count themselves extremely lucky. The move could work out for all involved too as the 33-year-old would likely find himself on a massive wage in China and could enjoy one last massive payday before calling time on what has been a very successful career, barring his year at Tottenham.

It seems clear that the Spurs fans are keen to be rid of Llorente and a move to China would benefit all parties.
