Tottenham fans on Twitter look back three years to the day to Dele’s first Spurs goal

Dele Alli has been one of the best young players on the planet over the last three years. The 22-year-old signed for Spurs in January 2015 for £5 million and was loaned straight back to the club they signed him from, MK Dons, until the end of the season. However, the next season saw everything change for the midfielder.

From midfield, Dele Alli has bagged himself 47 goals in 148 appearances for Tottenham and his goalscoring exploits have greatly helped reduce the strain that the club put on Harry Kane to score all of their goals. Alli and Kane have struck up quite the partnership on the pitch and between them, they’re constantly setting each other up for goals and playing off of each other.

In the Premier League alone, Dele averages a goal roughly every three games with his 38 strikes in 108 games. That’s a more than Paul Scholes, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard had all managed by the time they were his age and had his amount of appearances. Dele could easily go on to smash some records for the club and for England and it would be no surprise if he does go on to do that. The Spurs fans supporting him, though, will always remeber his first strike away at Leicester three years ago.

As you can see, the supporters love the flashback to Dele’ first goal and they’ll be keen to see him score some more this season, starting with Manchester United away on Monday.
