Tottenham fans on Twitter loved Dembele’s Old Trafford showing

On Monday night, Mauricio Pochettino took his classy Tottenham team to Old Trafford and they showed what they were made of as they dispatched Manchester United 3-0 on the night. The goals came from Harry Kane and a Lucas Moura brace, but Mousa Dembele caught plenty of Spurs fans’ eyes.

The last time Dembele, who earns £80,000-a-week according to The Telegraph, faced Manchester United Paul Pogba got the better of the Belgian and it was always going to be an interesting match up to see how the 31-year-old got on against the Frenchman this time around. It’s fair to see Dembele outclassed Pogba in every category. The Tottenham man stopped Pogba from having an influence on the match and many believe that this performance has shown that the Belgian has still got it.

In his first full match of the season, Dembele completed 95 minutes and his stats were phenomenal. The Belgian completed four tackles with a 100% success rate and also made four interceptions. Going forward, Dembele also impressed as he recorded an 84% passing accuracy, the fourth best of anyone on the pitch, and the fans have truly been waxing lyrical about their incredibly talented midfielder.
