Tottenham fans would have loved seeing Dimitar Berbatov roll back the years on Saturday when the Hungarian striker scored their 4th goal in the legends clash at the new stadium. They've also loved hearing from Berba on his transfer suggestions for the club as he's claimed the Lilywhites should sign Matthijs De Ligt if they sell Toby Alderweireld.

The problem with this one is that it is so much easier said than done. De Ligt is the brightest young central defender in the world right now and could effectively sign for whoever he wants at this moment in time. Whatever happens, he will be making Ajax a very large amount of money, and the chances of Tottenham being able to finance a move are slim to none.

However, the club have done business with the Dutch giants before, and it wouldn't be out of the question to see them make one more big signing from Amsterdam. If the Lilywhites could engineer a move that would see Alderweireld return to Ajax in a part exchange for De Ligt it could make the Eredivisie side more willing to deal, and whilst it's a longshot, the fans, much like Berbatov, would love for it to happen.

The Lilywhites would love to see Daniel Levy act on Berba's suggestion, but they all know the chances are slim.
