It is exactly five years to the day that Tottenham Hotspur opened their wallet and moved to bring Erik Lamela to North London and despite the fact he’s missed a lot of time with injury, the fans love him and everything he’s about.

If there’s one thing you can’t fault Erik Lamela for it’s his immense work rate. The Argentine star has an engine on him and when he gets going he’s really hard to stop. Since he joined the club from Roma back in 2013 he’s constantly mirrored what the Tottenham fans feel when he’s on the pitch. His heated encounters with Jack Wilshere and Cesc Fabregas in clashes against Arsenal and Chelsea are just a couple of things the fans love Coco for.
Away from his fiery nature and love of a derby, the Lilywhites have got plenty of amazing memories of Lamela when he gets his head down and plays football too. No one can forget his sublime rabona goal from outside the box in the UEFA Europa League and then add his man of the match performance against Manchester City a few years back and his incredible brace against Leicester City on the final day of last season and you can see why he’s so adored.
