France Football are today announcing their 30-man shortlist for the Ballon d’Or award for the year of 2018. As most Tottenham fans would expect, Harry Kane has made the list and the supporters are delighted for their serial goal getter on the nomination.

Harry Kane’s achievements are phenomenal. The Spurs man is just 25-years-old yet he’s already achieved what the majority of players never will. His 113 Premier League goals put him 18th on the all-time list, joint with Ian Wright and only seven behind his next target, Steven Gerrard. The ability Kane has to find the net is incredible and Tottenham wouldn’t be anywhere near the side they are if Kane wasn’t at the club.
Most fans are expecting Tottenham to lose Kane in the coming years. It’s only a matter of time until the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona come knocking with massive contract offers for the Englishman and it will be up to Kane to bat them away and stay at Tottenham as the lethal frontman likely has one eye on Alan Shearer’s record of 260 Premier league goals. If Kane does break that record then it would no surprise to see him pick up a Ballon d’Or or two on the way, but winning the award this year is unlikely.
