A lot of Spurs fans have been discussing the future of Mousa Dembele today. The 30-year-old midfielder bowed out of the World Cup yesterday as his Belgian side found themselves on the wrong end of a close fought 1-0 to France and after the game, some Spurs fans have been wondering how much Dembele has left in the tank.
Have to be honest on this performance of Mousa Dembele versus France and when you also remember his FA Cup performance against Man United.

Over the last three years, Mousa Dembele has been a pivotal part of Tottenham’s first team. The Belgian has the ability to control and dictate a game even when he’s not on his best form. The fans saw the best of Dembele last season during their Champions League tie with Juventus. They lost to the Italian champions 4-3 over two legs but Dembele was the man of the tie, bossing a tough Juve midfield and getting his teammates in the game.
Unfortunately, though, it seems like the ex-Fulham man’s best days are behind him as previous injuries have begun to take their toll. The midfielder is only 30-years-old but has started to decline and with reports that Spurs are looking to sell him this summer, it shows just how cutthroat football can be at times. No one in North London wants to see the midfielder go but if a replacement becomes available who would improve the side then Mauricio Pochettino simply has to take it.

It's hard to admit because I love moussa but he's declining sadly

Really hard to accept but his body is aging faster with those injuries. Really sad he didn't make it to the final.

its a shame because he gave a performance vs Juventus and in those 2 weeks worthy of the balon d or

He was good defensively but as a midfield outlet he was poor today . Getting dispossessed and not picking up pogba .

He plays more like this than not these days; I wasn’t impressed at all last season bar the odd, and I do mean odd, great game. People seem to have overly high sentimentality where Dembele is concerned. Injury plagued, old and with one year left, no surprise he’s on the way out.

He knows it perhaps why he wants to go to China

It’s sad to see but I think his best is behind him and we do need to cash in

From this, it’s clear to see that the Spurs fans know he needs to go but they’ll be sad when he does leave.
