Tottenham supporters all know that this summer is going to be a massive one for them whatever happens. Having not signed a single player since they purchased Lucas Moura back in January 2018, signings are a must. However, they’re not sure if signing Andre Gomes is what they want, as The Daily Mirror (19;5 page 72), via HITC, link them with the Barca man.

This is one transfer story that won’t make positive reading for either Tottenham or Everton fans. The Toffees are desperate to tie down Andre Gomes to a permanent deal and keep him at Goodison Park but the Lilywhites are a lot more sceptical. Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino may be keen on the Portuguese midfielder, but the supporters are not convinced.
It may be because of some of the links that are flying about claiming the Lilywhites could be signing a number of other midfield stars, but they seem to believe that they can do better than Andre Gomes. Tottenham have been linked with moves for a whole host of stars including the likes of Jack Grealish, Nicolo Zaniolo, Tanguy Ndombele and Youri Tielemans so you can see why they’re not all sold on the Gomes rumours.

Isn’t Tielemans the better choice!

Appreciate how much his agent wants to push this move but we’re going after top players now.

There are plenty of Tottenham fans who aren’t sold on Gomes, and it’s hardly one that will inspire loads of optimism at the club if they signed him.
