Tottenham fans on Twitter show their love for Heung-Min Son as he calls Spurs his home

Since Mauricio Pochettino has come in at Tottenham he’s created a real feel-good factor amongst the squad and the bond between the players looks stronger than it’s ever been before. It does help when there are players in the squad like Heung-Min Son, who always plays with a smile on his face.

The start of this season will see Tottenham have to get by without their electric winger as the Korean travels to the Asian Games with South Korea as he aims to gain a medal with his country to avoid having to complete two years of mandatory military service with the South Korean army. The opening ceremony of the tournament takes place on the 18th August and it gives Son a chance to play today, although he’s been named on the bench against Newcastle.

Last season, Son bagged himself 12 goals and six assists in the Premier league in 37 appearances and the 26-year-old has proved time and time again that he’s one of the most important players to Pochettino in this squad, being used to deputise for Harry Kane when the lethal frontman is out for whatever reason. The fact that the club will be starting the Premier League without Son for a few fixtures is obviously a blow but he’ll but he ready to get back amongst the goals upon his return after the Asian Games.
