Tottenham fans on Twitter slam sorry Trippier in Wembley defeat

Tottenham fans were left gutted yesterday as they suffered a damaging defeat in the Premier League at home to Manchester United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made it six wins from six, and he had Kieran Trippier to thankas the 28-year-old gifted his side the ball which led to Marcus Rashford’s goal, and the Lilywhites were fuming.

Kieran Trippier has been one of the biggest let downs of the season in the Premier League. Whilst away with England for the World Cup, the former Burnley man made himself known with some stunning performances, beating players down the right and boasting one of the best final balls of the tournament, however, in a Spurs shirt, we’re all yet to see that same player so far this campaign.

If the ‘Bury Beckham’ is chosen to feature against Fulham next weekend then the Lilywhites will be fuming. They’d much rather see Serge Aurier thrown into the mix and it’s hard to blame them. The Ivorian may have the odd clanger in his locker, but he’s much sounder at the back and would give the Lilywhites far less to complain about than what Trippier does.

You can read the Tottenham fans’ angered comments at Trippier here:

The Lilywhites will be fuming at Trippier for the next few days, and will hope the 28-year-old is dropped for a few games after his United shocker.
