Tottenham Hotspur failed to sign a single player over the summer transfer window and whilst they were ridiculed for that at the time. Now, though, it seems that their one January signing is having a much bigger impact than they thought he would as Lucas Moura has bagged himself three goals in his last two games.
consecutive Man of the Match performances.

Not only has Lucas Moura smashed in three goals in two games, he’s also managed to win the last two man of the match awards in the process. His two goals against Manchester United on Monday night have really put him on the map as far as most Premier League fans are concerned and there won’t be any teams out there that fancy giving Spurs a game with the form of the Brazilian livewire at the moment.
Lucas didn’t have the impact he wanted in his first half of a season after signing in January but then he showed what having a full pre-season can do to your form. The 26-year-old Brazilian scored four goals in his pre-season and has backed that up with more goals in the league. The next step will be to sustain his form over the season and to try and help his side be up around the top when the season draws to a close.
