Tottenham fans pay tribute to Son three years on from signing him

Tottenham Hotspur signed Heung-Min Son three years ago today and the fans are all celebrating his anniversary at the club. The South Korean attacker has proven to be pivotal to Mauricio Pochettino as he’s scored big goals at crucial times for The Lilywhites.

Son will no doubt go down as one of the best Asian players to have ever graced the Premier League. The 26-year-old has made 100 appearances in the competition and has bagged himself a tidy figure of 30 goals and 16 assists despite the fact he’s mainly been deployed on the left side of Tottenham’s midfield three behind Harry Kane. All the Korean is missing in his time at Spurs is a few trophies, although that’s the next step in Pochettino’s project.

Tottenham are currently having to get by without Son as he’s with his national team attempting to gain an exemption from serving two years of military service with the South Korean army. If he can help his side win gold in the Asian Games he’ll have his exemption but he’s still got to get past Vietnam in the semi-final and then either Japan or the United Arab Emirates in the final. However, Tottenham fans far and wide will be cheering their man on and will be desperate to have him back soon with a gold medal.

Loads of Tottenham fans idolise their South Korean winger and they’ll be keen to have him back in London and scoring goals as soon as possible.
